SUBJECT: Federal Apportionment Exchange and State Match Program Agreement No. X17-5942(286)

RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute an Agreement with the California Department of Transportation exchanging $268,108 in Federal funds for an equal amount of non-Federal funds from the State Highway Account, and claim $100,000 of State Match Program funds for FY 2016-17.
REPORT
The recommended action would authorize the Chairman to execute an agreement with Caltrans that would allow the County to exchange $268,108 in Federal funds for non-Federal funds and receive $100,000 in non-Federal funds for matching Federally funded projects.

ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):

Additionally, the County will not be able to utilize the flexibility associated with the non-Federal funds.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. Funds received will be recognized in the Department of Public Works and Planning FY 2017-18 Roads Org 4510.
