SUBJECT: Amendment I to Agreement No. 16-537 with the City of Fowler for the Fowler ADA Improvements - Curb Ramps & Municipal Center Doors, Community Block Grant (CDBG) Project No. 16231
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
TITLE
Approve and authorize Chairman to execute Amendment I to Agreement 16-537 with the City of Fowler for the Fowler ADA Improvements - Curb Ramps & Municipal Center Doors, Community Development Block Grant Project No. 16231 ($152,216).
REPORT
Amendment I to the Agreement provides an additional $9,789 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to the project which will increase CDBG funds to a total of $152,216. The additional funds are needed due to increased construction costs. The additional CDBG funds are available from the City's CDBG allocation.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION:
If this amendment is not approved, the City may not have sufficient funds to complete the entire project.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no Net County Cost. Amendment I will increase CDBG funding for the Fowler ADA Improvements - Curb Ramps & Municipal Center Doors Project from the City's CDBG allocation by $9,789. Total CDBG funding for the Project will be $152,216. The additional CDBG funds are included in the FY 2017-18 Public Works and Planning - Community Development Block Grant Org 7205 Adopted Budget. CDBG funds are provided on a reimbursement basis. The City of Fowler will provide all sums of money in excess of the CDBG funds that may be necessary to complete the project.
DISCUSSION:
On August 23, 2016, as Item #47, the Board approved the Fowler ADA Improvements - Curb Ramps & Municipal Center Doors Project No. 16231, in the amount of $142,427.
