SUBJECT: Amendment I to Agreement No. 16-506 with the City of Selma for the Selma Ringo Park Restroom, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Project No. 16651
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
TITLE
Approve and authorize Chairman to execute Amendment I to Agreement 16-506 with the City of Selma for the Selma Ringo Park Restroom, Community Development Block Grant Project No. 16651 ($125,000).
REPORT
Amendment I to the Agreement provides an additional $25,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to the project which will increase CDBG funds to a total of $125,000. The additional funds are needed due to increased construction costs. The additional CDBG funds are available from the City's CDBG allocation.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION:
If this amendment is not approved, the City may not have sufficient funds to complete the entire project.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no Net County Cost. Amendment I will increase CDBG funding for the Selma Ringo Park Restroom Project from the City's CDBG allocation by $25,000. Total CDBG funding for the Project will be $125,000. The additional CDBG funds are included in the FY 2017-18 Public Works and Planning - Community Development Block Grant Org 7205 Adopted Budget. CDBG funds are provided on a reimbursement basis. The City of Selma will provide all sums of money in excess of the CDBG funds that may be necessary to complete the project.
DISCUSSION:
On August 9, 2016, as Item #53, the Board approved the Selma Ringo Park Restroom Project No. 16651, in the amount of $100,000. The Agreement provided CDBG funds to the City of Selma on a reimbursement basis for the improvement of an existing restroom. The Project is located at the Ringo Park in Selma.
