SUBJECT: Amendments to Various Agreements for Contract Term Extensions
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve and Authorize the Chairman to execute the following Amendments with various contractors for contract term extensions with increases to the maximum compensations for FY 2018-19 (identified individually below), effective upon execution:
1. Amendment II to Comprehensive Youth Services, Inc. (Agt. 13-311) to provide functional family therapy to underserved or unserved high risk youth ($987,458)
2. Amendment II to Fresno Center for New Americans (Agt. 13-394) for culturally competent and linguistically accessible outpatient specialty mental health services ($173,780)
3. Amendment II to Turning Point of Central California, Inc. (Agt. 13-273) for transitional age youth services ($867,627)
4. Amendment II to Uplift Family Services, Inc., (Agt. 13-316) for assertive community treatment to children and youth ($1,214,901)
5. Amendment III to Mental Health Systems, Inc. (Agt. 13-395) for substance use disorder and mental health services at County's Juvenile Justice Campus ($336,668)
6. Amendment III to WestCare California, Inc. (Agt. 12-232) for supervised overnight stay services ($424,808)
7. Amendment IV to JDT Consultants, Inc. (Agt. 13-398) for therapeutic behavioral services ($1,700,000)
REPORT
Approval of the recommended actions will allow for three to six month contract term extensions and will increase the maximum compensation amounts to allow the various contractors the ability to continue providing necessary behavioral health and/or substance use disorder services to existing clients while the ongoing competitive bid processes are finalized. All of the agreements are in their final year with a June 30, 2018 expiration date.
