RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
1. Approve the Salary Resolution Amendment deleting the Tree Trimmer I classification and retitling the Tree Trimmer II classification to Tree Trimmer, as reflected on Appendix "G", effective June 18, 2018.

2. Approve the Salary Resolution Amendment deleting the Parks Groundskeeper I classification and retitling the current Parks Groundskeeper II/III classifications to Parks Groundskeeper I/II respectively, as reflected on Appendix "G", effective June 18, 2018.
REPORT
Approval of Recommended Action No. 1 would allow the County to delete the Tree Trimmer I classification and retitle the Tree Trimmer II classification to Tree Trimmer.

Approval of Recommended Action No. 2 would allow the County to delete the current Parks Groundskeeper I classification and retitle the current Parks Groundskeeper II/III classifications to Parks Groundskeeper I/II.

Both of these actions were agreed to in a tentative agreement with Unit 13 on September 1, 2016 to be completed by July 1, 2018.

ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):

If the Board were not to approve the recommended actions, the Tree Trimmer and Parks Groundskeeper classification series would remain unchanged and the tentative agreement with Unit 13 would not be executed as agreed by the parties and as approved by your Board.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no increase in Net County Cost with the recommended actions. There are sufficient appropriations included in the Fiscal Year 2017-18 budgets for the Parks (7910) and Library (7511) Orgs to cover the cost of $773 for the remainder of the fiscal year. Sufficient appropriations will be included in the departments' future budget requests.
