SUBJECT: Right-of-Way Acquisition for Travers Creek Bridge Replacement Project on Lincoln Avenue - Federal Project No. BRLO-5942(226)
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
TITLE
Accept Easement Deed and authorize the Chairman to execute the Right-of-Way Contract to facilitate the Travers Creek Bridge Replacement, Federal Project No. BRLO-5942(226) on Lincoln Avenue for a total monetary consideration of $4,500.
REPORT
Approval of the recommended action will authorize the purchase of additional right-of-way required to facilitate the replacement of an existing structurally deficient two-lane bridge, on Lincoln Avenue, as shown on Exhibit A. This item pertains to a location in District 4.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION:
Your Board may reject the purchase of this right-of-way; however, this would prevent the County from obtaining the necessary right-of-way to proceed with the project. If the necessary right-of-way is not acquired, the project will be cancelled and all funds received for the project would have to be returned to the Federal Highway Administration.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. This project is eligible for reimbursement under the Federal Highway Bridge Program (HBP). The HBP program will provide 88.53% of funds for right-of-way acquisition for this project. The remaining 11.47% will be paid out of the Road Fund 010. A check will be issued from the Road Fund payable to the individual grantor listed below. Sufficient appropriations for this project are included in the Department of Public Works and Planning - Roads Org 4510 FY 2018-19 Recommended Budget.
