SUBJECT: Addendum to the Memorandum of Understanding for Representation Unit 7 - Nurses
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve the Addendum to the Memorandum of Understanding for Representation Unit 07 - Nurses, represented by the California Nurses Association, regarding participation in the State Disability Insurance program.
REPORT
Approval of the recommended action would authorize the County to process the application for the California Nurses Association (Association) to participate in the State Disability Insurance (SDI) program.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
There is no viable alternative action.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no Net County Cost associated with the recommended action.
DISCUSSION:
The California Nurses Association has requested to participate in the SDI program. The parties have signed a tentative agreement that, upon approval by your Board, will authorize the County to process the application to the State for the participation of employees represented by the Association. Participation shall be mandatory for all employees of this Unit and shall be paid for by the employee subject to the provisions established by the State of California and the County of Fresno.
