RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute cooperative Agreement No. C1970800 with the California Department of Parks and Recreation for a floating aquatic vegetation control program, effective upon the State's notice to proceed through January 1, 2023, total not to exceed $144,165.
REPORT
Approval of the recommended action will allow the County to enter into an agreement with the California Department of Parks and Recreation to reimburse the Department's costs for the Floating Aquatic Vegetation Control Program activities.

ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):

Should your Board not approve the recommended action, the Department will not receive funding from the California Department of Parks and Recreation for the Floating Aquatic Vegetation Control Program.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no increase in Net County Cost associated with this recommended action. Fresno County will receive approximately $144,165 in revenue from the California Department of Parks and Recreation to fund this program over the next four years. The estimated revenues and appropriations to fund the full cost of the program are included in the FY 2019-20 Recommended Budget, Department of Agriculture Org 40101003/Fund 0001/ Account 3545/ Subclass 10000 and will be included in subsequent budget years.

DISCUSSION:

Agreement No. C1870803 was approved by the Board on April 23, 2019, BAI #35. Due to the length of time for the State to process the Agreement, the contract terms have changed to a four year Agreement, and the revenue was reduced to $144,165.
