DISCUSSION:
In January 2019, the Board of Supervisors formally approved their Board and Committee assignments for the ensuing year with the District 2 seat being vacant. The District 2 seat was filled by Supervisor Brandau following the special election held in March 2019. In January 2019, Supervisor Quintero was designated as the Board Member representative to serve on the Fresno County Transportation Authority and the Fresno-Madera Area Agency on Aging Committee.
Supervisor Brandau has expressed interest serving on both the Fresno-Madera Area Agency on Aging and Fresno County Transportation Authority to represent the constituents of Fresno County.
The Fresno-Madera Area Agency on Aging is currently located on Clark Street in Fresno. The agency is scheduled to move to Shaw Lane at the beginning of August. Both locations for the agency are located in Supervisorial District 2.
Prior to Supervisor Brandau’s service as a member of the Board of Supervisors, Supervisor Brandau served on the Fresno County Transportation Authority for six years. Supervisor Brandau would like the continuity and consistency of continuing to serve as a representative on the Transportation Authority. Supervisor Quintero supports Supervisor Brandau serving on the Fresno County Transportation Authority for continuity and consistency.
