SUBJECT: Budget Resolutions for Public Works & Planning Capital Project, Central Library Upgrades - 2nd Floor
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
1. Adopt Budget Resolution increasing FY 2019-20 appropriations for the Library Capital Improvements Org 7530 in the amount of $202,500 using available fund balance to complete construction upgrades at the Central Library Building - 2nd Floor, located at 2420 Mariposa Street, Fresno 93721 (4/5 vote).
2. Adopt Budget Resolution increasing FY 2019-20 appropriations and estimated revenues for Capital Projects Fund 0400, Subclass 10068, Central Library Upgrades - 2nd Floor Org 8868, in the amount of $202,500 to fund the construction and associated costs of the renovation work (4/5 vote).
REPORT
Approval of the recommended actions will provide funding for construction upgrades at the Central Library. Costs will be entirely offset with an Operating Transfer Out to Capital Projects from Fresno County Library Measure B Funds. This item is countywide.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
If the recommended actions are not approved, the Capital Projects Fund will lack the appropriations and revenues to fund the costs of the renovation project.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no Net County Cost associated with the recommended actions. Approval of the recommended actions will provide for an Operating Transfer Out from the Library Capital Improvements Org 7530 in available Fund Balance to fund and Operating Transfer In to the Capital Projects Fund 0400 Central Library Upgrades - 2nd Floor Org 8868 in the amount of $202,500. The transfers will fund renovations for added office space on the second floor of the Central Library building.
