SUBJECT: Amendments to Conflict of Interest Code for One Agency
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve amendments to Conflict of Interest Code for Crescent View West Public Charter, Inc
REPORT
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
If the recommended action is not approved, this agency will not be able to comply with Government Code section 87306 requesting every agency amend its Conflict of Interest Code when change is necessitated by changed circumstances.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no increase in net County cost associated with this action.
DISCUSSION:
Crescent View West Public Charter, Inc. amended their conflict of interest code to update the code’s language, designated positions and filing categories.
Amendments to local agency conflict of interest codes are authorized by section 87306 of the Government Code whenever changes are required by changed circumstances, by creation or deletion of designated positions, or by changes in the duty of such positions. The proposed code as amended and corrected is lawful under the Political Reform Act of 1974. Pursuant to sections 82011 and 87303 of the Government Code, the Board of Supervisors is the code reviewing body and may approve the code as submitted, revise the proposed code and approve it as revised, or return the proposed code to the agency for revision and resubmission. This item is countywide.
OTHER REVIEWING AGENCIES:
County Counsel has reviewed the amended Conflict of Interest Code.
