SUBJECT: Approve and Adopt the Revised 2021 Board Meeting Calendar
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
1. Approve and adopt the revised 2021 regular meeting schedule for the Board of Supervisors to add one meeting on January 5, 2021 to administer the oath of office and nominate the 2021 Chairman and Vice Chairman, as outlined in Attachment “A”; and
2. Direct the Clerk of the Board to publish the 2021 regular meeting schedule of the Board of Supervisors on the Fresno County website and to advise all County departments of the meeting schedule and submission dates for agenda items.

ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
Your Board could choose to make no changes to the Board meeting schedule.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact associated with the recommended action.
DISCUSSION:
On September 22, 2020, the Board of Supervisors adopted their meeting schedule for 2021. The proposed revised 2021 regular meeting schedule of the Board of Supervisors will add the January 5, 2021 meeting to administer the oath of office and nominate the 2021 Chairman and Vice Chairman. No agenda items will be heard at this meeting. This change will increase the number of regular scheduled Board meetings by one to a total of 23 regular meetings. Attachment A is the proposed revised 2021 Board of Supervisors regular meeting schedule.
It should be noted that a separate agenda item before your Board today recommends Ordinance and Administrative Policy changes to allow Board meetings to begin at 10:00 a.m. in 2021. Therefore, Attachment A notes at the bottom that the meeting time is at 10:00 a.m.
