SUBMITTED BY: Oscar J. Garcia, CPA, Auditor-Controller/Treasurer-Tax Collector

SUBJECT: Approve Memorandum of Understanding for the use of the Statewide Electronic Courier Universal Recording Environment (SECURE) Government to Government Portal by the Tax Collector

RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve and Authorize the Chairman to execute a Memorandum of Understanding with the counties of Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Diego for the use of the Statewide Electronic Courier Universal Recording Environment (SECURE) Government to Government Portal by the Auditor-Controller/Treasurer-Tax Collector, effective November 2, 2021, through November 1, 2023, total not to exceed $0.
REPORT
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no increase in Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. The proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has no ongoing costs associated with it due to the Tax Collector being a government agency and therefore exempt from fees. The start-up costs referenced in the MOU are one-time costs, are expected to be minimal, if any, and sufficient funding is available within Org 04100500's Fiscal Year 2021-22 Adopted Budget.

DISCUSSION:
