SUBJECT: Approve Third Amendment to Agreement with Pinnacle Training System, LLC

RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute Third Amendment to Agreement with Pinnacle Training System, LLC, to extend the term of the existing Agreement for the provision of COVID-19 and Flu vaccination services by six months from July 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022 with no change to the compensation maximum of $1,459,500.
REPORT
There is no Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. Approval of the recommended action will execute a third amendment with Pinnacle Training System, LLC (PTS) to continue providing on-call COVID-19 and Flu vaccine administration services. This item is countywide.

ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):

There are no viable alternative actions. Should your Board choose to not approve the recommended action, PTS will no longer be able to serve as one of Fresno County's on-call COVID-19 and Flu vaccine administration vendors effective on July 1, 2022, reducing the capacity to support vaccine administration services and events within Fresno County.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no Net County Cost associated with this recommended action. This agreement was funded by the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act funding through June 30, 2021. The remaining term is and will be funded by the Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity for Prevention and Control of Emerging Infectious Diseases (ELC) Enhancing Detection Expansion funds and the Immunization Cooperative Agreement funding. The compensation rates for billing will remain the same. Sufficient appropriations were included in the Department's Organization 5620 FY 2021-22 Adopted Budget and is included in the Department's Organization 5620 FY 2022-23 Recommended Budget.
