SUBJECT: Department of Behavioral Health Canon EOS C70 Purchase
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve and authorize the Clerk of the Board to execute Budget Transfer No. 68 transferring FY 2022-23 appropriations in the amount of $14,000 from Account 7295 (Professional and Specialized Services) to Account 8300 (Equipment) within the Department of Behavioral Health Org 5630 ($14,000) for the purchase of a Canon EOS C70 Cinema Camera and associated accessories.
REPORT
Approval of the recommended action will allow the County to purchase a Canon EOS C70 Cinema Camera, as well as necessary accessories that will allow for the production of media marketing, advertising, and public relations services for programs throughout the Department of Behavioral Health to assist in promoting public mental health awareness and reducing stigma. The recommended agreement will be funded with Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) funds, with no increase in Net County Cost. This item is countywide.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
Should your Board not approve the recommended agreement, the Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) Public Behavioral Health will continue to contract out marketing services at a higher rate than it would cost to create marketing materials.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no increase in Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. The total estimate cost ($14,000) will be fully funded with MHSA - PEI funds. The recommended budget transfer will move existing appropriations in FY 2022-23 within the DBH - 56304564 Org to Program No. 91860. The recommended budget transfer will increase appropriations in FY 2022-23 in the Equipment Fund account 8300 using fund balance from account 7295.
