RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve community outreach expenditure of $500 to sponsor the Annual K-9 Event & Awards, per Administrative Policy No. 75.
REPORT
Approval of this item is for the expenditure of $500 to assist the Marine Corps League Fresno Detachment 14 in support of the fundraising event. This item was approved by County Counsel as an appropriate expenditure as outlined in Administrative Policy No. 75.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
Your board can choose not to authorize District 5’s sponsorship of the event.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no increase in net county cost associated with the recommended action. Sufficient appropriations are included in the proposed budget for the FY 2023-24 within the Board of Supervisors Org 0110.
DISCUSSION:
On August 8, 2017, the Board approved Administrative Policy No. 75 to allow individual Supervisors to expend portions of their individual budgets for community outreach services and programs. This expenditure to sponsor the Annual K-9 Event & Awards, hosted by the Marine Corps League Fresno Detachment 14, was sent to the County Counsel for review and approval. County Counsel deemed it an appropriate expenditure under the administrative Policy No. 75 guidelines.
