REPORT
Approval of the recommended actions will allow the Department of Public Health to submit the non-competitive Application for Assistance Revenue Agreement for the Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) to the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES). The EMPG grant funds support the County's capability to prevent, prepare for, mitigate against, respond to, and recover from emergencies and disasters. The EMPG Local Allocation provides federal funds to assist state, local, territorial, and tribal governments in preparing for all hazards, as authorized by Section (?) 662 of the Post Katrina Emergency Management Reform Act (6 U.S.C. ?762) and the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. ?? 5121 et seq.). The application and related EMPG documents represent an agreement with Cal OES and require a 100% County match, which will be covered with Health Realignment, with no Net County Cost. This item is countywide.
