SUBJECT: Amendment to Agreement with Asbury Environmental Services dba World Oil Environmental Services

RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute a First Amendment to Agreement No. 17-115 with Asbury Environmental Services dba World Oil Environmental Services for collection services and to establish a fee schedule for non-conforming oil filters, effective upon execution with no change to the compensation amount or term of March 28, 2017 to March 29, 2022, total not to exceed $251,750.
REPORT
Approval of the recommended action would allow the County to properly manage used non-conforming oil filters. The original agreement provides for the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) approved collection, recycling, and proper disposal of waste oil, used oil filter, antifreeze, and solvent disposal services at various facilities; however, non-conforming oil filter products were not addressed. This item is countywide.

ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):

Your Board may direct Department of Public Works and Planning staff to issue a new Request for Proposals to evaluate costs of services related to the disposal of non-conforming oil filter products by various other vendors.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. The recommended amendment will not change the maximum compensation of $251,750. The agreement is funded as follows:
