RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute an Affiliation Agreement with Touro University California to provide educational and training experiences and observational opportunities through County facilities for students, effective February 25, 2020, for a period of one-year ($0).
REPORT
There is no Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. This agreement will provide students from Touro University California with educational, training experiences, and observational opportunities with the County of Fresno. The recommended action will be effective February 25, 2020, through February 24, 2021, with the option of an extension for two (2) additional twelve (12) month periods. This item is countywide.

ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):

There are no alternative actions. Should the recommended action not be approved, there will be no educational, or training experiences, and observational opportunities at County facilities for Touro University California students.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no increase in Net County Cost or County match associated with the recommended action.

DISCUSSION:

Touro University California operates the College of Education and Health Sciences (CEHS), the College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM), and the College of Pharmacy (COP) in Vallejo, California and operates a branch campus in Henderson, Nevada. Touro University California desires that its students obtain practical educational and training experiences and observational opportunities at the facilities through participation in an affiliation program.
