SUBJECT: Request to provide construction management services to the Fresno County Transportation Authority for the Golden State Corridor Infrastructure Improvements Project
RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Authorize the Department of Public Works and Planning to prepare an agreement with the Fresno County Transportation Authority to provide construction management services for the Golden State Corridor Infrastructure Improvements Project and return to your Board for final cost.
REPORT
This item comes to your Board via a request from the Fresno County Transportation Authority (FCTA) for the County to provide construction management services for their Golden State Corridor Infrastructure Improvements Project. FCTA does not have construction management staff and the County has available staff to perform this service. This item relates to locations in District 4.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION(S):
This item is intended to provide information and receive direction. Your Board can choose to take no action.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no Net County Cost associated with the recommended actions. Staff time associated with this Agenda Item represents a Net County Cost which is absorbed in the Department's FY 2020-21 Budget in ORG 45100200.
DISCUSSION:
Background
FCTA administers the Measure C Regional Program intended to address transportation needs that stretch across the County. Funding for these transportation projects comes from Measure C, Measure C Extension, the Regional Transportation Mitigation Fee Program, and the State Transportation Improvement Program. The Golden State Infrastructure Project is a Rural Tier 1 Project designed to provide corridor and economic improvements to Golden State Boulevard from American Avenue to the Tulare County line.
