SUBJECT: Agreement with Biola Community Services District

RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
1. Amend FY 2020-21 Action Plan to amend the project name from Biola Sidewalk and Streetlight Improvements to Biola Sidewalk and Street Improvements; and

2. Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute an Agreement with the Biola Community Services District for the Biola Sidewalk and Street Improvements, Community Development Block Grant Project No. 20031, effective upon execution through February 28, 2022 ($250,000).
REPORT
Approval of the first recommended action amends the County's 2020-21 Action Plan, approved by the Board on April 28, 2020, to correct the project name listed on the unincorporated area Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) public facilities and infrastructure improvement projects list, from Biola Sidewalk and Streetlight Improvements to Biola Sidewalk and Street Improvements.

Approval of the second recommended action will provide CDBG funding for the Biola Street and Sidewalk Improvements (Project), included in the County's 2020-21 Action Plan approved by your Board on April 28, 2020. The Project consists of the construction of curb and gutter (including curb bulb-outs/extensions), sidewalk and curb ramps, high visibility crosswalk striping and signage with rectangular rapid flashing beacons. The Project will benefit the residents of the unincorporated community of Biola. If necessary to complete the Project by February 28, 2022, the Biola Community Services District will provide a local financial contribution for projects costs in excess of the CDBG funds. This item pertains to a location in District 1.
