SUBJECT: Resolution for Consolidation of the March 2, 2021 Clovis Municipal Election

RECOMMENDED ACTION(S):
TITLE
Adopt a Resolution approving the consolidation of a Special Municipal Election called by the City of Orange Cove with the regularly scheduled March 2, 2021 City of Clovis General Municipal Election and approve the County Clerk/Registrar of Voters to conduct the consolidated election.

Conducting the City of Orange Cove Special Municipal Election as a non-consolidated separate election would result in a large cost increase for the City of Orange Cove's called election.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no increase in Net County Cost associated with the recommended action. Estimated expenditures and revenues associated with the consolidated election will be approximately $250,000. The entities have agreed, by Resolution, to reimburse the County for all costs related to the election. Suffic...
